About Me

Hi there! Welcome. My name is Mary and I am Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who has been working in the field of intellectual disabilities, dual diagnoses, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) since 1999. I  provide supports to a wide range of clients with a variety of diverse abilities. Presently, my practice focuses on supporting individuals who exhibit severe aggression and self-injury; and working collaboratively as part of a team of multi-disciplinary professionals. I have experience working with individuals in residential settings, in-patient tertiary settings, homes, school and community settings.  I have presented at a number of Behaviour Analytic conferences, and have provided a number of training sessions for caregivers, staff, agencies, and supervisees. I enjoy supporting teams as they develop their skills to better support the individuals they serve and supervising students as they work towards obtaining certification.

As an ACT Matrix Facilitator and Trainer, I work from a point of view that promotes psychological flexibility, and psychological safety. Evolved from ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Training), the ACT Matrix is a visual process that increases psychological flexibility from a Functional Contextual point of view. It addresses behaviour change by examining the relationships between behaviour and the context in which it occurs from the observer self-view and enhancing intrinsic motivation.
